The excitement found while working in the immediacy of nature leads one to joyfully express the myriad patterns of light and color. When you are held in this suspension you begin to lose yourself and gain something that is beyond yourself. It is as if the creative universe is at your side holding the painting tools with you. This is the inspiration that is of often talked about.
Although the aesthetic and creative process is a personal one, I have been touched by many great artists who have gone before me such as Van Gogh, Monet, Joan Mitchell, Milton Avery and Wolf Kahn. All of these artists have endeavored to create what was never seen before, something new and with it the excitement of the truly original. I endeavor to be on this same path of creativity.
Beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder. It's something I have a gift for capturing. See for yourself.
EXCEPTIONAL FINE ART
The excitement found while working in the immediacy of nature is the basis for my paintings.
Landscape and abstract paintings are executed in a variety of media, including pastel, oil, acrylic, and ink.
Art is a distillation of spirit. Transcending time and space, the painter moves into the world of intuition.
